  • You need a data center outside the United States

    They run locations in Europe and Asia. Everything we host is served from the US. If your traffic is not, stay put.

What switching actually involves

This is the easiest kind of migration there is. Both sides run cPanel, so it is a full account transfer rather than a rebuild, and almost nothing has to be reconstructed by hand.

We do the transfer. You give us access and check the preview before we point DNS.

  1. We look at the account, not just the site

    Number of sites, database sizes, PHP versions, cron jobs, mailboxes, SSL setup, and where the domain is registered. cPanel makes all of that visible in one place, which is why this is the easiest migration we do.

  2. Full cPanel account transfer

    cPanel to cPanel means files, databases, email accounts, forwarders, cron jobs, and DNS zone all come across together instead of being rebuilt one at a time.

  3. Test on a temporary URL

    You check pages, forms, logins, images, and anything custom. Your A2 or Hosting.com account keeps serving the live site while you do.

  4. Email verified before the switch

    Mailboxes are recreated and mail copied, then send and receive get tested from your own client. If mail is at Google or Microsoft we leave those records alone.

  5. DNS cutover with a lowered TTL

    We drop the TTL first, change the records, and watch both servers through propagation. Most sites are fully switched inside a business day.

Questions

Did A2 Hosting actually change hands?

Yes. World Host Group acquired A2 Hosting in January 2025, and the brand became Hosting.com on April 28, 2025. The company said existing services, infrastructure, and support would continue. Whether that has held is your call to make, not ours.

Is a cPanel to cPanel migration really easier?

Yes, and noticeably. A full account transfer brings email accounts, forwarders, cron jobs, databases, and the DNS zone over as one package instead of being reassembled by hand. That is why it is included rather than billed.

Do I keep SSH and WP-CLI?

Yes. SSH access is part of the cPanel accounts here, so command line workflows carry over.

Will there be downtime?

Most migrations can be handled with little to no downtime when DNS is planned correctly. Your current site stays live until the copy here is approved, and both servers answer during the DNS change. We do not claim a guaranteed zero.

What do the plans cost?
