Softaculous
Installing WordPress with Softaculous
Install WordPress on your hosting account in under 5 minutes using the Softaculous auto-installer.
Softaculous makes installing WordPress a one-click process. No database setup or file uploads required.
Step 1: Open Softaculous
Log in to cPanel → Software → Softaculous Apps Installer. Or look for the WordPress Manager shortcut.
Step 2: Find WordPress
Click WordPress in the popular apps list, then click Install.
Step 3: Fill Out the Installation Form
Software Setup:
- Choose Protocol: https:// (if you have SSL, which 330 Hosting provides free)
- Choose Domain: Select your domain from the dropdown
- In Directory: Leave empty to install at the root, or enter a subfolder (e.g., blog)
Site Settings:
- Site Name: Your website title
- Site Description: Your tagline
Admin Account:
- Admin Username: Choose something other than "admin" for security
- Admin Password: Use a strong, unique password
- Admin Email: Your email address
Click Install.
Step 4: Access Your New Site
Softaculous shows you:
- Site URL: yourdomain.com
- Admin URL: yourdomain.com/wp-admin
Log in with your admin credentials and start building.
Tips
- Write down your admin credentials — Softaculous doesn't email them by default
- Install on https:// (not http://) — 330 Hosting includes free SSL with every plan
- Use a unique admin username (not "admin") to reduce brute force attack risk
