How to Create an Email Account in cPanel

Set up a professional email address at your domain through cPanel in a few simple steps.

A professional email address (you@yourdomain.com) builds trust with customers and keeps your business communications separate from personal accounts.

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

Navigate to your cPanel login URL (typically yourdomain.com:2083) and enter your credentials.

Step 2: Open Email Accounts

In the Email section, click Email Accounts.

Step 3: Create the Account

Click Create. Fill in:

  • Domain — select your domain from the dropdown
  • Username — the part before the @ (e.g., info, hello, support)
  • Password — use the generator for a strong password
  • Storage Space — set a quota or leave unlimited

Click Create to save.

Step 4: Access Your Email

You can access your new inbox through:

  • Webmail — visit yourdomain.com/webmail
  • Email Client — configure Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird using your cPanel IMAP/SMTP settings

Tips

  • Avoid catch-all addresses unless you truly need them; they often collect extra spam
  • Create role addresses (info@, support@, billing@) even if they all forward to one inbox
  • The default storage quota is 250 MB — increase it in Email Accounts if needed
