Creating a WordPress Page
Add static pages to your WordPress site — About, Services, Contact, and more.
Pages are for static content that doesn't change often — About Us, Services, Contact, Privacy Policy.
Step 1: Add a New Page
Go to Pages → Add New (or click + New → Page from the admin bar).
Step 2: Add a Title
Click "Add title" and type your page name (e.g., "About Us").
Step 3: Add Content
Click in the content area and start typing. The block editor lets you add:
- Paragraphs (default)
- Headings (H1–H6)
- Images
- Lists (bulleted or numbered)
- Buttons
- Columns
Click the + icon to add a new block and search for the block type you want.
Step 4: Set Page Settings
In the right panel:
- Status — Public (visible) or Private
- Parent — nest this page under another (e.g., Services → Web Design)
- Featured Image — header image for the page
- Template — some themes offer different page layouts
Step 5: Publish
Click Publish (or Schedule for a future date).
Adding to Navigation
After publishing, add the page to your menu: Appearance → Menus → drag the page into your menu structure.
Tips
- Use Headings blocks to structure long pages for readability and SEO
- Set a featured image to control how the page looks when shared on social media
- Use the Slug field (in the URL section) to customize the page URL
