What the export really gives us

A website export is rarely the whole website.

Wix says its SaaS architecture must run on Wix servers. Your words and media belong to you, but the Wix layout and platform features do not transfer as a working website.

The replacement does not have to be WordPress

We can rebuild an informational site as a custom static site.

For a site whose main job is explaining services and producing calls or form leads, static hosting on Cloudflare Workers can be the cleaner option. Pages are built ahead of time, the important content is delivered in the HTML, and there is no live WordPress database or plugin chain involved in each page request.

A from-scratch build also lets us reorganize pages around search intent and customer decisions. We can improve headings, internal links, mobile calls to action, forms, metadata, structured data, and redirect coverage instead of copying every limitation of the old builder.

Static is not automatically right for stores, member portals, or teams that need frequent dashboard editing. We recommend WordPress when its publishing and plugin tools solve a real requirement. Hosting starts at $15 per month and the standard migration fee is $0. A larger redesign, new copy, or custom function is quoted before we build it.

  • A list of every domain connected to the site
  • Original logo, photos, videos, PDFs, and brand fonts if you have them
  • A list of forms, automations, bookings, memberships, store features, and third-party apps
  • Recent form notifications or lead emails so we can trace where inquiries go

Instructions for Wix

What to do in your current account.

  1. Open the published site and list every page in the main menu, footer, and any members-only area.

  2. In the Wix dashboard, open Media Manager and download the original files you want to keep. Put logos, photos, documents, and videos into clearly named folders.

  3. Export contacts, form submissions, products, orders, blog posts, or bookings from the related Wix dashboard areas when those features are in use.

  4. Open Domains in Wix and note whether Wix is the registrar or whether the domain only points to Wix. Do not transfer or disconnect it yet.

  5. Take screenshots of desktop and mobile pages, popups, forms, confirmation messages, and any behavior that is not visible to the public.

  6. Invite 330 Hosting as a collaborator after we confirm the correct role. Never send a password through the intake form.

    We preserve mail and verification records, point only the needed website records, enable SSL, and test both the old and new paths.

    Watch and verify

    We check forms, analytics, redirects, indexing controls, error pages, and email delivery after the change. Only then should the old website plan be canceled.

Three things to check twice.

  • Do not cancel Wix before the new site passes review.
  • Changing Wix nameservers can also remove email records. We copy DNS records before cutover.
  • A domain transfer and a website move are separate jobs. The domain can stay registered at Wix if that is safer.

Does the current website produce leads or sales?

This tells us which forms, phone numbers, tracking, and high-traffic pages must be protected.

For example: contact form to two email addresses, phone calls tracked by Google Ads, Calendly bookings, or Shopify orders.

What must the new site do?

Select everything you currently use or want to add.

Include important page names, current problems, advertising, deadlines, and what you want the rebuilt site to do better.

Questions before a move

Does the $15 per month include migration?

Yes. The hosting plan is $15 per month and the migration fee is $0. We review the current site before work starts so you know the migration plan. If you request new custom functions beyond moving or recreating the existing site, we explain that scope separately before doing it.

Will my website go offline?

The old site stays online while the replacement is built. The final DNS change can create a short period where different visitors reach different servers, so we keep both versions available and avoid canceling the old service early.

Do I have to transfer my domain?

No. Hosting, domain registration, DNS, and email are separate services. Your domain can remain with its current registrar while it points to 330 Hosting.

What happens to my business email?

We inventory the MX, TXT, CNAME, SRV, and other mail-related DNS records before launch. We do not move or cancel email unless that is part of the agreed plan.

Should I send my password in the form?

No. Send the website address and account ownership details only. We will arrange collaborator, delegated, or temporary access through a safer channel after reviewing the request.
