How to Add an Addon Domain in cPanel
Host multiple websites on one hosting account by adding addon domains.
An addon domain lets you host a completely separate website under a different domain name on the same hosting account.
Prerequisites
The domain must already be registered (at GoDaddy, Namecheap, or another registrar) and its nameservers must point to 330 Hosting's servers.
Step 1: Open Domains
Log in to cPanel → Domains → Domains (or look for "Addon Domains" in older cPanel versions).
Step 2: Add the Domain
Click Create a New Domain. Enter:
- Domain — the domain name (e.g., myotherbusiness.com)
- Document Root — the folder that will hold this site's files (auto-filled as /public_html/myotherbusiness.com)
Click Submit.
Step 3: Upload Your Website Files
Navigate to the document root folder in File Manager and upload your site files there.
Step 4: Verify
Visit the new domain in a browser. Allow up to 48 hours for DNS to fully propagate if the domain was recently set up.
Tips
- Each addon domain gets its own document root folder
- You can install WordPress separately for each addon domain via Softaculous
- Addon domains share the hosting plan's resources (storage, bandwidth)
