How to Change Your cPanel Password
Update your cPanel login password to keep your hosting account secure.
Changing your cPanel password regularly is a good security practice, especially if you suspect unauthorized access.
Method 1: From Within cPanel
- Log in to cPanel
- Click your username in the top-right corner → Password & Security
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password (use the strength meter to ensure it's strong)
- Click Change Your Password Now
Method 2: From Your Hosting Account (Client Area)
Log in to your 330 Hosting client area, navigate to your hosting account, and look for a "Change Password" option.
Method 3: Contact Support
If you're locked out, contact 330 Hosting support and we can reset it after verifying your identity.
Password Requirements
- At least 12 characters
- Mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- Never reuse passwords from other accounts
Tips
- Use a password manager (Bitwarden, 1Password) to store complex passwords
- Changing your cPanel password does not change your email account passwords
- Enable two-factor authentication for extra security after updating your password
